What you’ll need to measure
- Calipers (best) or a ruler
- The hex wrench that fits your fork’s valving adjuster
First, identify which type of valving adjustment your fork uses — a flat-blade adjuster or a small hex adjuster — then follow the matching section below.
Type A — Flat-blade valving adjuster
Measure the preload hex 
Measure the flat-blade gap 
Measure the valving diameter
With calipers, measure three things: the preload hex, the diameter of the valving adjuster/clicker, and the width of the flat-blade gap.
Optional: also measure the combined height of the preload hex + clicker. It should be under 9 mm — if it’s more, email me and I can tweak a design for you.
Type B — Small hex valving adjuster
Measure the outside preload hex 
Find the hex size that fits your fork
With calipers, measure the preload hex, then use a multi-hex tool (or included wrenches) to find the hex size that fits your suspension’s valving adjuster and note it.
