Yamaha MT-09 2021+ Seat Slope Mod

Description

Fits all years of Yamaha MT-09 2021 – 2025+ (Gen 3 and Gen 4) 

After the success of the seat slope mod for the ’15 -’20 FZ/FJ/MT/Tracers I worked with some members of the community to design a solution for the 2021+ MT-09 Seats.  The MT-09s suffer from the same forward slant as most of the other CP3 engined bikes.   This kit has been tested over 2 years before coming to market. 

• JK3D.us Adjustable 6+2 mm Shim – Some riders prefer some forward lean on the seat for most spirted riding, and then a flatter seat for longer rides.  This kit will allow fairly easy adjustments based on riding preference.

Compatible with:

• Front OEM stock and Yamaha Comfort seat for the 2021+ Yamaha MT-09 models (including SP).   (Should work with most aftermarket seats that use the Yamaha Seat Pan) Works with the seat in the factory low or high positions.
• Not Compatible with Tracer 9 models

Materials:

Frame Shims- Industrial Grade Carbon Fiber PA12 Nylon – High temperature, high strength, high durability and chemically resistant material.
Rubber Bushings-  High temperature Easton 85A softness TPU rubber. This is to ensure the vibration isolation of the tank mounts is maintained.

Included with the kit: 

• 3x offset grommets for the rear mount of the fuel tank to the mounting plate, this allows the bracket to be moved upward without changing the tank rear height more than 3 or 4mm, a height change that is almost not visible and looks natural.  Printed in TPU rubber to retain the vibration isolation of the stock setup.  The stock spacer/washers slide into the TPU like the original bushings. (Only 2 are used in Gen 3 (2021 -2023 bikes) 
• 2x Seat Frame Brace Shims: Adjustable Kit: 6mm Pads, and 2mm shims for adjustability
• 4x 6mm Zinc Plated Alloy Steel bolts (Class 10.9)
• 4x 6mm  Shoulder Washers (for the JK3D.us Shim) 
• 4x 6mm  Standard Washers (for the top of the seat bracket)

Tools required to install:

• 4mm Hex Wrench
• 10mm socket/wrench (for Gen 3 bikes) 
• Blue Thread lock compound
• Torque Wrench (12Nm for the main bolts, 7Nm for the fuel tank bolts)
